Accomplishments
 | Johann Sebastian Bach wrote all 24 major and minor keys. He also wrote dramatic organ and choral music, some of which are now known as the most popular music of his time period. He brought polyphonic baroque music to its culmination, creating masterful and vigorous works in almost every musical form known in his period.He wrote around 300 cantatas. He composed something called "The Well Tempered Clavier" which he said was composed for "for and use of musical youth desirous of learning, and especially for the pastime of those already skilled in this study". The emotional expressiveness of his music is still touching listeners centuries after his death and influenced countless composers. Therefore he was indeed an extremely accomplished composer and musician of his time. |
